Stuicide

Tigers lost last night. In Overtime. After being up 9 points with 2 minutes to go. In the National Championship game.

Devastating. There’s nothing else to say about it. I am still proud of my boys.

My job interview went well enough and I’ll know more next week but I feel positive about it, although I am horrible at interviews. Blech! School stuff is getting set up, I’ll get more done tomorrow and hopefully be registered by the end of the week.

Life is getting back in order and I’m starting to right the boat. Let’s hope it stays afloat.

I don’t want to say too much, but I have an interview set up for next week on Tuesday. Let’s hope it pans out, it’s close to home and should be in the field of Marketing I would like to explore more of.
Between finally getting another interview and finding out I’m accepted into school, it’s been a good week, but I have to make the most of these opportunities.

So as for the things I’ve been keeping busy with for the past few days…

I got a letter from the University of Memphis, and finally received notice that I was accepted to the Fall Semester of 2008 to attend Grad School. I need to meet with an advisor to see if I will get any credit from my semester in Chicago. I hope so, I worked hard up there for the grades.

Also, Thursday morning I took my MacBook Pro up to the Apple Store because the right fan was acting noisy and making a small clicking noise. They were extremely helpful and quick. I thought I was going to be out without my laptop for a few days, but they got it fixed same day and I was able to pick it up just 5 hours after I dropped it off. The new fan is working great so far.

Yesterday, I received a message from a friend of mine at Bungie, wondering if I would be able to make it out to Seattle in two days to attend the Legendary Map Pack Press Day. My site, TiedtheLeader, was invited to attend as a Community Press.

Being a huge fan of the Halo series for the last few years, I was ecstatic knowing that I had an opportunity to go to Bungie headquarters and see it with my very own eyes.
Alas, It was not to be, since flying out to Seattle on a day’s notice was going to be entirely too expensive to make it work. Not this time, which sucks.

I hope some other opportunities like this come my way soon. I will be ready.
