The video quality on this thing is amazing. Focusing is a little tough, but I think this will definitely add some value to the camera. Here’s a quick test I did last night with Dru.

This camera even makes soda look amazing!

I didn’t get to really put it to it’s full use but this weekend I’m going out to shoot a bunch of pictures and will have more updates for you guys then. I’m inspired by what this thing can do and I really want to take the best pictures as I can now.

The long wait is over. I’m a broke happy man.

Ack! So they tried delivering the camera yesterday while I was still at work. No one else was home so I got a nifty sticker on my front door.

After I called UPS to see if I could pick up the package at the ship center (where I have picked up many packages over the last few years) they said that due to the shipper I was not allowed to do that.

It’s a very secure package but I find that it’s a bit much that I cannot talk to UPS myself and use one of their other options that works for millions of packages.

They are supposed to re-deliver it today, sometime this afternoon and my sister is home to intercept the package.

Hopefully she hears the door (she was warned about the importance of this package) and I should have my camera very soon.

Saw that the camera left Knoxville late last night, arrived in Memphis early this morning and as of 7 a.m. it was on a delivery truck headed for delivery.

Just got an update from UPS tracking (along with a phone call earlier today notifying me of the delivery) that at 3:00 pm the camera was in Knoxville, TN.

The camera is in the state.

Soon, it shall be mine.

According to UPS.com it left Fisherville, VA this morning at 9:50 a.m.

Delivery due Wednesday.

So I just made my order this morning after close to 3 months of saving and scrunching and eating peanut butter sandwiches for lunch.

I have on order, a Canon 5D Mk 2.

I don’t have the funds to get extra batteries, a grip, or two new L lenses, but believe me, they are all coming sooner or later.

Adorama has been back and forth between in stock/backordered a few times today, let’s hope that one gets allocated my way and I have a new camera next week.

This feels better than X-mas.
